Privacy without the small print
Mauqa is used by school students, so it collects as little personal information as possible. You can browse every public listing without an account.
Location
If you allow location access, your browser compares your coordinates with Mauqa’s city hubs. Exact coordinates stay on your device. Mauqa remembers only the city it selected, and you can change it at any time.
Accounts
If you sign in, Supabase Authentication receives your Google account identity. Mauqa stores only your class, city, interests, saved listings and notification choices. It does not ask for your school, phone number, date of birth or home address.
Emails
Opportunity emails are opt-in. You can turn them off from your account or the unsubscribe link in any message. Mauqa never sells or shares your address with event organisers.
Analytics
Mauqa records aggregate actions such as a listing view or registration click so the project can learn what students need. It does not store an IP address, advertising identifier, user agent, session ID or cross-site tracking cookie.
Your control
You can delete your account from settings. That removes your profile, saved listings and notification settings. Public opportunities submitted for community review are not tied to your account.
